A Mac Duggal one of a kind pageant dress designed for Miss United States 2014, Elizabeth Safrit, was marvelously displayed on the Miss World stage. The Miss World pageant was held in London on December 14, 2014, as billions of viewers watched Miss United States crowned 2nd runner up, Miss World Americas, and the winner of the Multimedia Challenge.
Prior to the Miss World pageant, Elizabeth called upon Mac Duggal's passion to create a truly unique gown fit for the competition. Mac's final design christened "Lal Rani" translation the red queen in Mac's native tongue, took into consideration the style sensibilities of the Miss United States organization and Elizabeth's vision for a unique gown that would embrace the Miss World foundation.
The classic but vibrant red hue of the gown was carefully selected to draw attention to Miss United States 2014 as she crossed the pageant stage. Combining both a timeless color and mermaid silhouette, the body style of the dress flows with Elizabeth's natural athletic build while highlighting her incredible figure. Elizabeth's gown did not feature beading or embellishments, a normal standard in pageant gowns, but instead a more sophisticated couture styling.
Both Mac Duggal and the Miss United States organization are deeply proud of Elizabeth's accomplishments at the Miss World pageant. With a beautifully designed wardrobe throughout her month-long journey, all eyes were on Miss United States as she was crowned in a one of a kind Mac Duggal gown.

Neiman Marcus announces Andreas Sjödin as the photographer of The Art of Fashion for Spring 2014. The campaign includes twenty-six images of innovative fashion and will appear in the March edition of the Neiman Marcus publication, the book. Versions will also run in the March issues of Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue and Vanity Fair.
Sjödin was raised in the suburbs of Stockholm. He spent his first 10 years working as an art director on ad campaigns for international fashion companies. “During that time, I got to work with all the important photographers, the most important being [Richard] Avedon,” he says. “Working with him, I realized, Wow, there is an even better job in this industry than art director and that is being a photographer! The energy and passion he had, even at 75, was like a child. I wanted to be like that.”
“Andreas Sjödin isn’t interested in just beauty,” says Eddie Nunns, Vice President of Neiman Marcus Brand Creative. “Each photograph must contain an element of surprise – something that will captivate the viewer.” Other notable photographers of The Art of Fashion campaign have included Richard Avedon, Arthur Elgort, Helmut Newton, Annie Leibovitz, Lillian Bassman and Paolo Roversi.
The Art of Fashion was a revolutionary step for a retailer, as the campaign was designed to feature cutting-edge fashion and provocative photography. Designer merchandise featured for Spring 2014 includes: Akris, Alexander McQueen, Azzedine Alaïa, Burberry Prorsum, Chanel, Christian Louboutin, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Emilio Pucci, Gucci, Jil Sander, Lanvin Paris, Manolo Blahnik, Mary Katrantzou, Nina Ricci, Oscar de la Renta, Peter Pilotto, Proenza Schouler, Ralph Lauren Collection, Saint Laurent, Stella McCartney, The Row, Tom Ford and Valentino.

SERGIO DAVILA
Fall/Winter 2013 collection, which will be shown on the runway on Thursday, February 7th at 5:00 PM at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week at Lincoln Center, in the Studio venue.
Sergio Davila was inspired by historical, dark and foggy old South American cities like Lima, Peru. He moved to the historical Centre of Lima - near to Plaza San Martin and Chinatown - and lived in a Victorian apartment for 8 months to create this collection. During one of his nights out, Sergio met Concept Artist Alvaro Feliu: Alvaro's vanguardist and eclectic art served as inspiration for Sergio. Additionally, Sergo used the distinguished Peruvian dog - it has no hair and an elegant "mohawk" adorns its head - as well Punks that live in the surroundings of and in Lima, a city with more DNA than all other cities in the world.
All fibers used by Davila, such as Alpaca and Pima Cotton, are 100% organic.
